The terroir
The 38 hectares of our vineyard are situated in an alluvial valley at the foot of the village of Pierrefeu du Var. With the benefit of rich sediments carried there over many centuries and the superb sunshine exposure our region is renowned for, it is a terroir whose wealth is revealed through the different wines that we produce with passion.
Made from typically Provencal grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, and Tibouren, our estate wines express all the character of the Côtes de Provence.
We place the greatest importance on maintaining and developing the biodiversity on our estate. By practicing responsible, sustainable agriculture, we have also created ideal conditions for the local flora and fauna.
And especially since we have a source of water, thanks in particular to the two streams that cross the estate – the Rémin and the Farembert.
In view of the age of the vines, a lengthy programme of replantation was begun ten years ago, with the emphasis on varieties that would enable us to produce greater quantities of rosé, the iconic wine of Provence. At the same time, the old vines were managed with the utmost care to ensure that they would continue to draw their equilibrium from deep in the earth to give ripe, concentrated grapes and produce silky, fruit-forward red wines. The whites, pride of the estate since the sixties, were given a new lease of life to continue their success on the greatest tables of the Cote d’Azur.
